Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Machine Learning Data Annotator. As a Data Annotator at Malted AI, you will play a crucial role in improving the accuracy and efficiency of our algorithms and models by meticulously labelling and annotating various types of data.

You will play a key part in creating taxonomies of different types of data and managing quality control annotation projects. As part of the team, you will be at the forefront of the development of Malted AI, shaping our approach to data collection and quality assurance. You will collaborate closely with the machine learning and software development teams to develop new SLMs to solve the enterprise’s hardest problems. You will also work with our commercial team as we identify new business verticals to ensure the successful delivery of new product offerings to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as a peer reviewing and accurately labelling various types of data according to predefined guidelines and criteria, ensuring quality.
• Work closely with machine learning engineers to iteratively improve guidelines and datasets, analysing annotated data and providing insights to improve algorithms and models.
• Develop and document annotation guidelines and taxonomies for different datasets.
• Support the creation and use of new annotation approaches, created leveraging the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the software development and commercial team, to support various projects and initiatives.
• Continuously monitor annotation quality through statistical analysis and auditing.
• Quickly grasp new topics to be annotated.
• Identify patterns and trends in model-generated data to improve the ML team outputs.
